North Bay Food Bank making some changes due to COVID-19

The manager of the North Bay Food Bank says they haven’t seen a drop off in donations since the COVID-19 crisis began.

“The community is awesome when it comes to the food rescue partnerships that we have, the food donations and the money coming through too,” she says.

Deb Marson told BayToday they have limited the number of clients into the facility to five at a time and are preaching cleanliness, sanitization, hand washing and keeping a social distance.

“We’re bagging our hampers. Before, they were in a container and the clients would unpack them and put them into their own bags,” she says.

She says donations are being accepted on line and that’s key these days with the importance of social distance.
