Ice removal at Parks Creek next week

The North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority says the ice removal off Parks Creek near Lakeshore Drive will take place on Monday.

Members of the public and snowmobile riders are asked to stay off the creek and away from the mouth of the creek on Lake Nipissing.

Officials say this is necessary to create some storage space for runoff when the spring melt begins.

Troy Storms, Manager, Lands & Stewardship says the operation is key so the risk of property flooding is lessened.
