The North Bay Battalion have signed one of their top picks in the priority selection to a standard players agreement.

Defenceman Tnias Mathurin was chosen in the 3rd round and was picked 41st overall.

The six-foot-two, 190-pound resident of Ajax, scored seven goals and added 12 assists for 19 points in 35 games.

Earlier the team signed number one pick Ty Nelson and 2nd round pick Dalyn Wakely.

Meantime, defenceman Braden Henderson and right winger Chad Denault have said they will attend school next year, forgoing an overage season.

Henderson is to attend Georgian College, while Denault, a resident of Iroquois Falls, will go to Nipissing University.
