COVID-19 has resulted in the cancellation of another major area attraction.

Mattawa Voyageur Days won’t be taking place this July.

Officials posted on Facebook (pictured below) that the safety and well-being of fans, artists, staff, vendors and everyone in the community is their top priority.

They’ve been monitoring the situation over the last few weeks and have determined, along with government mandates, it’s no longer safe to move forward with the July festival this year.

The event will be back in 2021.

Along with the Powassan Maple Syrup Festival, which would’ve taken place this past weekend, Bay Days 2020 has also been cancelled.
