The North Bay and area Community Foundation will be providing over $156,000 in funding for local charities.

This is part of a new partnership with Community Foundations of Canada, United Way Centraide Canada and the Canadian Red Cross.

The money is from Ottawa’s $350 million Emergency Community Support Fund and it’s aim to support vulnerable populations disproportionately affected by COVID-19.

The North Bay and Area Community Foundation is now accepting applications for funding.

Grants can be used for costs to cover staffing or resource needs, purchase assistance and more.
