The Capitol Centre with an update on some of its programming due to COVID-19.

The Annual BluesFest event has been cancelled for this year only.

Executive Director Katina Connolly says the cruise has already been shelved due to the Chief Commanda 11 shutting down operations for the year but the Saturday events too.

“We also had to cancel because artists wouldn’t have been able to make it here due to the travel restrictions and the unknowns of COVID-19,” she says.

As we told you earlier, the season launch event which usually happens around now will not take place until the fall.

And they’re looking at a condensed schedule from what was originally planned so they can re-open safely when public gathering restrictions are lifted.

The Capitol Centre’s virtual calendar of entertainment continues online.
