The Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board has released it’s detailed school reopening plan.

Two options are available to parents for their child’s education, online only and conventional back to school, full-time, five days a week.

The local Catholic board’s plan says students in Kindergarten through Grade 8 will remain in one cohort for the full day, including recess and lunch.

Secondary students will have quadmesters, to limit contacts, by taking two credits at a time.

They will have one subject in the morning and another in the afternoon.

As previously announced by the province, students in grades four through 12 will wear masks indoors.

Also of note, each school will designate an isolation room/area for any student that presents with COVID symptoms, school assemblies and other large gatherings will not be allowed at this time and team sports continue to be “on hold” until provincial organizations indicate that it is safe for team sports to resume.
