North Bay OPP have filed impaired driving and drug charges after a two vehicle crash on the weekend.

The collision happened just after 12:30 Sunday afternoon on Hwy 17 in Bonfield Township.

A 38 year old North Bay resident is charged with impaired and drug possession.

A 32 year old resident of Bonfield and a 23 year old Mattawa resident were also charged with drug possession and possession of a prohibited device.

OPP say over 70-thousand dollars worth of suspected opioids were seized along with two imitation hand guns and nearly $5,000 in cash.

A 55 year old Lavigne female has been charged with driving while impaired by alcohol and drugs.

Police say they received a report on Sunday of a driver asleep on Arcand Road in Sturgeon Falls.

There have now been 67 motorists charged within the detachment area this year with impaired driving.

This incident follows one from last Friday in which a 30 year old Lively woman was charged after police received a complaint on vehicle driving erratically on Highway 69 in Greater Sudbury.
Police say the charges also include possession of cocaine as they seized a small quantity of drugs suspected to be Crack Cocaine along with drug paraphernalia.
