At a cost of $129,000 the city will be replacing the marquee outside Memorial Gardens.

Community Services Committee chair Mark King says the sign will be improved from the 2007 version that came from North Bay’s Hockeyville winnings.

He says they’ll be getting a LED sign and will display what’s going on inside the gardens during events.

The new one will be a 3 feet larger than the current one.

King says the new sign will be paid for by the gardens rehab project already funded by the city and Fednor.

The city received four bids to do the work and $129,000 was the lowest.
