The Responsible Gambling Council is helping educate thousands of Ontario students on the risks of gambling, including some in Mattawa.

Their interactive, educational game show Game Brain is into it’s third year and touring around the province this fall.

The show is hosted by Jason Agnew and Matt Phillips from YTV’s “Splatalot”.

They’re at FJ McElligott in Mattawa this morning.

The Game Brain sees students forming teams and play games that make them aware of the realities of gambling, signs of a problem and available resources for help.

Officials say research shows some teens are gambling online and when compared to adults, young people are two to three times more likely to develop a gambling problem.

Game Brain is also running a social media contest to spread the awareness message, giving students a chance to win yearly subscriptions to Spotify.
