A meeting of the Constituency Youth Council in Nipissing-Timiskaming was held recently.

On hand were high school students, post secondary students and MP Anthony Rota.

He says there were 3 major issues discussed including education, jobs and the environment.

He says the next meeting is in February and they will be talking about two key issues of concern at that meeting and that’ll be the strategy moving forward.

Rota says he will take the concerns expressed by the students back to Ottawa.

The council was formed after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said that young voices must be part of their decision making process.
