Dr RussellThat Big Bad World: Helping Kids Thrive in Anxious Times.

That’s the title of a free learning session taking place at St Joseph-Scollard Hall tomorrow night (Tuesday).

Doors open at 5:30 with the presentation from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Dr Alex Russell (pictured) is a Clinical Psychologist and author of “Drop the Worry Ball”.

He says there’s a real epidemic happening these days.

He says a lot of what they do is get perspective on the current parenting and education system.

Dr. Russell says there are multiple factors, including technology like social media.  He says youth are now establishing who they are online in a public forum, presenting a “manicured self” with pictures and likes, etc.

He says establishing an identity is maybe harder than ever for children.

Once again, the learning session is free.
