A social media campaign has been started by the North Bay Professional Fire Fighters, calling on the public to contact council about a recent decision on fire service levels.

Council recently approved of dynamic staffing, which reduced the minimum staffing level from 16 to 13 fire fighters per shift.

The pamphlet (below) features the contact information for all 10 councillors and the mayor.

It encourages residents to get in touch with the city leaders to get them to “do a proper risk assessment before cutting fire service levels.”

They also say council’s decision will save the average household less than a dollar a month and will increase response times throughout the city.
