In the NOJHL, it’s a busy weekend for the Powassan Voodoos.

They’re on the road to Cochrane tomorrow night (Friday), Timmins on Saturday then Iroquois Falls on Sunday afternoon.

Powassan leads the league with 43 points.

They’ve won 14 straight games.

 

It’s three games in three days for the North Bay Midget AAA Trappers.

They’re home to the Sudbury Minor Midget Wolves tomorrow night at Memorial Gardens, visit the Sudbury Nickel Capitals Saturday night and then host the Nickel Capitals at Memorial Gardens on Sunday afternoon.

The Trappers lead the Great North Midget League standings with 33 points.

 

In OUA men’s hockey, the Nipissing Lakers men are in Guelph tomorrow night then visit Western on Saturday.

The lone weekend match-up for the Nipissing women’s hockey team is Saturday night at Memorial Gardens against Laurentian.

It’s their final game before the Christmas break.

The men have two more games next weekend.

Both Nipissing basketball teams host Carleton tomorrow night then Ottawa on Saturday while the volleyball teams are home to RMC tomorrow then Queens on Sunday.

This is the final weekend of play before the Christmas break for the volleyball teams.

The basketball teams both have games next weekend before resuming the regular season in January.

 

In OCAA men’s basketball, Canadore College has a couple games this weekend, wrapping up the pre-Christmas portion of the schedule.

The Panthers visit Georgian tomorrow night then play George Brown on Saturday.

The regular season for both Canadore volleyball teams resumes in the new year.
