Recognizing those who give the gift of life

On Friday, Canadian Blood Services is saying thanks. Territory Manager Joanne Drake says there will be a Partners For life recognition event at the Davedi Club from noon to 1:30. She says it’s for the 30 organizations affiliated with the Partners For lIfe program.  Drake says the organizations donated over 900 units of blood last year.  Drake says the partners include the North Bay Regional Health Centre, North Bay Police and the OPP.

She says anyone who donates blood is making a big difference for someone in desperate need of blood by saving lives. 

Drake says the blood inventories are low but not as low as last summer as they were in a desperate situation for blood donations.
