City Hall2Every Councillor could be bringing their laptops to Monday night meetings going forward. There will be a vote on Monday to decide if Council will switch over to electronic agendas. That would mean saving time and money on manually putting it together for each councillor, every meeting. Deputy Mayor Sheldon Forgette says there would also be cost savings as well.

Forgette adds that’s not the only tech related update possibly coming to city hall. He says they could be implementing GPS devices in all city vehicles, as well as having an interactive web portal for residents online for bill payments.

Forgette says they are getting to the point where Council and the City itself is including more technology, which he feels is very important in terms of finding efficiencies.
