Business lobby group likes Voyageur Airways sale

The sale of Voyageur Airways to Chorus Aviation got a thumbs up from business leaders at the North Bay and District Chamber of Commerce director’s monthly meeting Thursday night.

President Jake Lacourse told directors that he’s confident it will benefit North Bay’s economy.

“I’m thrilled by the news,” he said.

And Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli also welcomed the sale, saying it will give Voyageur deeper pockets to finance even bigger projects.

Fedeli says this opens the door to international contacts and more work for North Bay, but thinks the biggest problem will be finding people to do it.
