Trappers, Voodoos and Blackhawks in action plus NOSSA hockey results

The playoffs continue for the North Bay Midget AAA Trappers tonight (Tuesday), both regional NOJHL teams squared off Monday night in Powassan and it’s day 2 of the NOSSA ‘AAA’ boys hockey event at Memorial Gardens.

The North Bay Midget AAA Trappers are on the road to the Soo tonight (Tuesday), for game five of their playoff series with the Thunderbirds.

After falling behind 2-0 in the series, the Trappers won both games on the weekend to force tonight’s deciding game.

In the NOJHL, Mattawa scored a 6-5 win over Powassan Monday night at the Sportsplex.

Brett Ouderkirk had a goal and three assists for the Blackhawks while Brendan D’Agostino had two goals for the Voodoos.

League leading scorer Steven Harland had two assists for Powassan.

And round robin play wraps up this morning at the NOSSA ‘AAA’ boys hockey event in North Bay.

West Ferris tied its first two games 3-3 against St Charles and 4-4 against St Basils from the Sault.

Widdifield lost its first game 3-1 to St Basils and 4-2 to St Charles.

The final goes tonight at 6 o’clock at Memorial Gardens.
