Business hub continues to grow with Federal funding

The Innovation Initiatives Ontario North organization will continue to help small and medium sized businesses in northern Ontario.

That’s thanks to a $50,000 funding announcement made by MP Jay Aspin today (Monday). He says this adds to substantial funding that has been brought in for this purpose over the last few years.

Aspin says “we’ve got over $8-million all-told invested here in the last three years; we continue to track new investment and had the Minister come up here to see what we were doing.”

Aspin made the announcement alongside Ed Holder, the Minister of State, Science and Technology.

Aspin says IION helps small and medium sized businesses with designing, prototyping and manufacturing new technologies. He says “we are creating more jobs and new jobs, and the Minister was very impressed with the facilities.”
