Whiteout conditions and blowing snow were having an impact locally on Wednesday.

The city closed Memorial Drive from Judge to Main St. West until Thursday morning because of limited visibility, caused by the snow squalls, and to clean up afterwards.

Meantime, transit buses and routes were experiencing major delays and/or cancellations on Wednesday

OPP closed down the southbound lanes of Highway 11 between North Bay and Powassan for a short time on Wednesday afternoon too.
