The North Bay Battalion comeback fell short Thursday night at Memorial Gardens losing 3-2 to Sudbury in overtime.

The Troops were down 2-0 and fought back  to tie the game on goals by Brett McKenzie and Brad Chenier but head coach  Stan Butler says they didn’t bury their chances.

Brent Moran suffered the loss, North Bay’s 6th straight, in his return to the lineup after missing eight games with a shoulder injury.

Cam Dineen in back in the city after undergoing knee surgery.

He’s been out since mid December and will miss more time going forward to recover.

North Bay hosts Mississauga on Saturday.

The Troops lead the Central Division by one point over the Wolves.
