Police (North Bay)Several thefts and damages to vehicles are being investigated by North Bay Police.

They’re also looking to speak to the driver of a vehicle involved in a collision with a pedestrian last Thursday morning.

A break and enter on Ferguson Street has city police looking for two men.

It’s alleged a woman arrived home around 1:30 Saturday afternoon and found two bicycles outside her residence.

She spoke to a man at the side door who said he was at the wrong address.

A second man left the side door.

After both left the woman discovered a laptop, DVD and jewellery were missing.

One man is described as about 5’3”, 100 pounds, Caucasian, 25 to 30 years old, slim build, shaggy black hair and wearing track pants.

The second man is described as about 6′ tall, 1175-180 pounds with a heavier build, about 50 years old with short grey hair. He was wearing a blue baseball hat and carrying a duffle bag at the time.

 

A few other thefts are also being investigating by North Bay Police, including a purse taken from a vehicle on Main East at Fisher Friday night, a black and orange “The Monster” e-bike was stolen sometime overnight last Wednesday into Thursday on Princess Street West. And a bicycle tools and a bicycle trailer were taken from a shed on Galt Street sometime before Saturday.

Meantime, city police are investigating a couple incidents of tires being slashed this weekend.  One incident happened on Ferguson at Oak while the other was on McIntyre Street West.

Three incidents of mirror damage on Sylvan Crescent were also reported in recent days.

 

Driver sought in pedestrian collision

Police are looking to identify the driver of a vehicle involved in a collision with a pedestrian last Thursday.

The incident happened just after 9 am at Worthington Street onto Fisher Street.

City police say the driver, described as male about 60 to 70 years old with short white hair and white facial hair and was wearing a black leather coat at the time, stopped to check on the victim then left the scene.

The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The vehicle is now described as a shiny silver/grey truck.
