In OUA women’s hockey on Saturday, the Nipissing Lakers scored a 1-0 overtime win over Waterloo.

Goalie Jackie Rochefort (photo above courtesy nulakers.ca) recorded her second straight  shutout for the Lakers, in the win.

The Nipissing men, meantime won 3-2 in a shootout over York.

In basketball, both Nipissing teams lost to Lakehead.

And the Lakers volleyball teams both played against York.

The women won 3-0 while the men lost 3-1.

 

In OCAA volleyball, both Canadore teams played Centennial.

The men won 3-0 while the women lost 3-1.

In men’s basketball, Canadore lost 82-75 to George Brown.

 

Back to hockey, the North Bay Midget AAA Trappers won 6-5 over the Sudbury Minor-Midget Wolves.

It was North Bay’s final regular season game.

The Trappers have a bye into the second round of the playoffs, having already secured first overall in the Great North Midget League standings.
