Two producers with the Dragons’ Den TV show were in North Bay yesterday (Wednesday).

They were here to hear some pitches that might be good enough for the Dragons to hear themselves when the show hits the airwaves for a 12th season in the fall.

Eryn McCarthy is one of the producers.

She says North Bay is stop number 2 on a 33 city tour.

McCarthy says their job is not to make decisions on who makes the cut, but to find out about the entrepreneurs who are presenting.

She says they get to learn all about the business, what they need, what their financial projections are and how much they’ll need from the dragons.

McCarthy says there are four different teams of producers going around the country and up to 1500 submissions will be heard and then the final 200 will be filmed for the show.
