War Amps key tags coming in the mail this week, recognizing 70th anniversary

The War Amps key tag service is celebrating their 70th anniversary this year.

Public Awareness Officer Jamie Lunn says local residents will notice their free tags arriving in the mail starting this coming week.

She says if you ever lose your keys, the person who finds them can either drop them off in the mail or call the 1-800 number on the back to see that the keys are returned.  

She say often times people choose to donate to War Amps, which helps fund their programs.

Lunn, was born without her right arm below the elbow, says the War Amps has helped her for her entire life, providing artificial limbs and emotional support.

She also says if you don’t already receive War Amps key tags in the mail, you can order them at waramps.ca or call 1-800-250-3030.

Lunn says they’re already active when you receive the tags, they just need to be attached to your key ring.
