battalion280x1602Not a lot of positives for the home side in a 5-2 loss at Memorial Gardens for the North Bay Battalion.

They played host to the Sault Ste Marie Greyhounds who scored five straight goals after falling behind 2-0 to the Troops in the first six minutes of the game.

Overall, Battalion head coach Stan Butler says the Greyhounds outplayed his club.

Captain Mike Amadio‘s goal to open the scoring was his 195th career point, which is 6th all-time on the franchise list.

Butler says it’s a nice stat for the LA Kings draft pick.

One of the other positives was Soo native Jake Kment stopping all 13 shots he faced.

Kment took over for Jake Smith who was pulled in the second.

Daniil Vertiy scored the other goal for North Bay.

The Battalion are back in action Saturday, on the road to Niagara. Broadcast time on Country 600 CKAT is 6:35pm.
