In just over a year the 2018 Ford World Women’s Curling Championship will be in North Bay and a call has been put out for volunteers to help participate in the event.

You must be 19 years old as of March 17th next year, when the event begins.

For more information go to www.curling.ca/2018worldwomen/volunteers.

Curling Canada says every effort will be made to assign volunteers to their area of choice.

Volunteers will be required to wear an official event uniform, at a cost of $100.

Curling Canada says the benefits include wearing official volunteer clothing, a volunteer pin and access to Memorial Gardens when not working.

They also say there will be a minimum of 30 hours per person for volunteer service.
