The Widdifield Wildcats are 1-1 at the OFSAA “A/AA” Boys Hockey Championship in Fort Frances.

They edged the Campbellford Flames 7-6 in their first game but then lost 4-2 to the St Mary’s Crusaders.

Their next game is at 11:15 tomorrow morning (Wednesday) against the Dryden Eagles.

Meantime, Widdifield is hosting the OFSAA boys and girls Curling Championships tomorrow through Saturday.

There are 38 rinks taking part, 18 in the boys event and 20 in the girls championship.

Draws are being played at the North Bay Granite Club and the Sturgeon Falls Curling Club.

On the boys side, the Wildcats’ first match is against a Niagara school (A.N. Myer) at 11am tomorrow (Wednesday) while the Widdifield girls take on a Hamilton school (Westmount) at 2 pm.
