Five local high school productions have advanced to the upcoming regional Sears Drama Festival.

Outstanding Production honours were awarded to St. Joseph Scollard Hall’s “The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon”, West Ferris Secondary School’s “Txt or Die!”, Widdifield Secondary School’s “The Crazy Locomotive”, and two productions from Almaguin Highlands Secondary School, “Anonymous” and “The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane”.

The regional event is taking place at St Joseph-Scollard Hall April 20th to 22nd and also includes shows from Kirkland Lake District Composite School, O’Gorman High School (Timmins), Temiskaming District Secondary School and Englehart High School.

Tickets are available at the door for $10.00.
Shows begin at 7:00 PM on Thursday and Friday, and 6:00 PM on Saturday.

Numerous acting and other awards were also given out at the Nipissing District event.
