A big coup for the Nipissing Lakers men’s hockey team.

North Bay’s Danny Desrochers who played his entire OHL career in Sudbury with the Wolves including last year as captain will play for the Nipissing Lakers men’s hockey team next season.

Before playing with the Wolves he notched 49 points in 43 games for the North Bay Trappers back in 2012.

Coach Mike McParland says Desrochers brings a high level of skill to the Lakers.

Desrochers says he’s excited and he gets to stay at home.

Mcparland says the team is getting a contributor on the powerplay and a leader.
