Canadore professor receives national recognition

A Canadore College professor has received a national award.

Colleges and Institutes Canada has recognized Dave de Jourdan with a Faculty Leadership Award of Excellence.

Dave de Jourdan has been at Canadore for 37 years and has spearheaded the School of Sport and Recreation.

The Dean of the School of Business, David Himmelman says de Jourdan’s passion for student success is the major reason for the success of Canadore’s on line recreation programs.

He says these programs have gone from 50 students in 1980 to nearly 300 this year. He received the award at a conference in Ottawa.
