The Powassan Voodoos season is over.

The NOJHL club was edged out of the Dudley Hewitt Cup with a 2-1 loss to Georgetown in Friday night’s semifinal.

The Raiders scored twice in the first period with Powassan’s Dayton Murray scoring the lone Voodoos goal in the third.

Powassan had a memorable season, consistently ranked among the top teams in the national top 20, winning 25 straight games in the regular season (from October 11th through mid-January) and then 12 straight victories in the playoffs to win the NOJHL title.

Georgetown now plays host Trenton in the Dudley Hewitt Cup final.
