The results are in from a fundraising event put on last Friday by The Studio.

Their 5th annual Zumbathon held at Alliance French Immersion School raised $12,000 in the fight against Cystic Fibrosis.

Officials say 140 people took part with 15 local and out-of-town instructors involved.

“It is through events like these that funds and awareness are generated. Perhaps one day we may all know what it’s like to live in a world without CF,” said Studio Co-Owner and CF parent, Macrina Perron

At the event, Mayor Al McDonald declared Sunday, May 28th Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Day in the City of North Bay.
