The North Bay Select U14 Girls Lynx team won silver at a Muskoka tournament on the weekend.

They went undefeated in round robin play.

After conceding a penalty kick in the first half of the final, the Lynx couldn’t find the equalizer and lost 1-nil to the Oakridge U15’s.

This coming Saturday, the local team plays their first Huronia League game of the year at noon at the Omischl Complex.

More hardware for local athletes at the OFSAA Track and Field Championship in Belleville.

Almaguin’s Hudson Booth won gold in men’s Shot Put Para and was 3rd in Men 100 Meter Dash Ambulatory.

Almaguin’s Clarista Ardiel won gold in Women’s 800 Meter Run Intellectually and was 3rd in Women’s 100 Meter Dash Intellectually.

Algonquin’s Grace Michauville won silver in junior Women’s Discus and was 3rd in junior Women’s shot put.

As reported on Friday, Northern’s Timothy Hatton won gold in senior boys javelin and Widdifield’s Caliegh Porter won bronze in senior girls high jump.
