The second phase of the Woodland Public School capital project is about to get underway.

Design work on an Early Learning and Child Care Centre is underway and the Near North Board says the tender is expected to go out in a few weeks.

Exterior work is slated to begin this summer with construction taking place throughout the next school year.

The centre will include before and after school programming, four full-day early learning classrooms with 10 infant spaces, 15 toddler spaces and 32 preschool spaces.

There will be an enclosed entrance and outside play space too.
