The wait continues for snowmobile enthusists in North Bay

That’s North Bay Snowmobile Club Director of Marketing and Public Relations Shawn Flindall who says trails remain closed in the North Bay area.

He says there are trails open in the Mattawa and Bonfield area and with some snow and cold weather the North Bay trails could be open in a week to two weeks.

Overall, Flindall says there’s an economic toll to losing four weeks on a 10 to 11 week season,

He points out snowmobiling brings millions to the city and regional economy and none of that has started flowing yet.

Flindall says says a lot of dealers and businesses are hurting.
