Two Mattawa residents are facing several drug related charges after a search warrant was executed in Papineau-Cameron Township.

The 44 year old male and the 37 year old female are both charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime and unauthorized possession of a weapon.

The male is also charged with possession of a weapon contrary to a prohibition order.

Also, OPP say finding a vehicle in the ditch along Highway 11 in Merrick Township has led to charges.

Police say after they stopped to help the motorists it was revealed the 38 year old Toronto driver had been drinking and the passenger was breaching conditions too.

The driver has been charged with several offenses including driving while impaired and driving while under suspension.

The passenger from Richmond Hill has been charged with failure to comply with recognizance orders not to leave Alberta.

And Powassan OPP have charged a 35 year old Callander man with driving while under suspension.

Police made the arrest officers stopped a lawn tractor which was pulling a wagon down Highway 94.

It turns out he was also wanted by the Greater Sudbury Regional Police Service.
