An approaching storm system is expected to bring significant rain and snowfall to the regions.

Precipitation from this storm is forecast to begin late on Saturday night.

It will likely begin as rain, with between 15 and 25 Millimetres possible in some locales before it changes to snow on Sunday afternoon.

Snow is then forecast to continue through Sunday night before tapering off on Monday morning.

Some regions may receive 10 to 15 cm of snowfall during that time.

Strong and gusty winds on Sunday night may also result in areas of blowing snow.
