Enjoy the fall and go outdoors.

That’s the word from The Weather Network Meteorologist Erin Wenckstern.

She says the start of fall is going to be great and it may last longer too, with higher than normal temperatures.

“A lot of dry weather for an area that wasn’t so dry over the summer. We’re seeing a pattern reversal over much of Eastern Canada.  We’re seeing fairly dry conditions, a lot of sunny days, a lot of dry weather to enjoy the outdoors so definitely get out there,” she says.

That pattern is expected continue into parts of October, but by November the cooler air will move in and that’s why overall fall temperatures will be near normal.

“Temperatures are on a rapid decline as we head into October and November where daytime highs on average should drop a degree or 2 each work as it’s a steady decline towards winter,”  Wenckstern says.

She also says we may see some winter weather in November, but that doesn’t mean it will stick around.

Overall, it’ll be a roller coaster ride.

Wenckstern says the fall should start on a high note, stay a while and then take a plunge.
