CWSF_Team North Bay

Team North Bay is returning home from the Canada-wide Science Fair tomorrow (Saturday) with some hardware.

Widdifield’s Ashleigh Brady and Reagan Lawton won a Bronze medal in the Excellence Awards category for their project “Company in the Shower”.

At the North Bay Regional Science Fair they won the Rotary Club of North Bay Award of Excellence, the University of Ottawa Scholarship Award, and a gold medal in the Senior Biotechnology category.

Five local students and three projects took part in the National fair.

At the North Bay Regional Science Fair, Caleb Charette and Riley Geisler of West Ferris Secondary School won the TransCanada Award, the Lalonde Family Award in Biology and Medicine, and a gold medal in the Intermediate Biotechnology category, for their project “Synthetic 3D Printed Heart”;

At the North Bay Regional Science Fair, Gabrielle Russo of St. Luke’s Catholic Elementary School won the Shulman Travel Award, and a gold medal in the Junior Physical Sciences category for her project “Stripping Down the Sugars”;
