Strathroy’s Taylor Kehoe carded a two-day 155 to win the OFSAA Girls Golf Championship at the North Bay Golf and Country Club.

After firing an opening round 74, she shot an 81 in round two yesterday (Thursday) to win by 2 strokes.

NOSSA champ Jaye Harrington from St Joseph-Scollard Hall finished 76th with a two-day 218.

 

In NDA junior football, St Joseph-Scollard Hall improved their record to 4-0 with a 41-13 win over Widdifield.

The regular season wraps up next week with Widdifield hosting Algonquin and West Ferris visiting SJSH.

The top two teams will get a bye to the semifinals (Sat Oct 28th) with the other four teams playing quarterfinals on Tuesday October 24th.

 

And the Minor Peewee AAA Trappers are hosting a tournament this weekend at Pete Palangio Arena.

Officials say it’s the first top-tier tournament to be held locally for the 10 and 11 year old boys in decades.

There’s no entry fee and games are being played from today (Friday at noon through the Championship game Sunday afternoon at 3 pm.
