Plenty of Lakers action this weekend and Voodoos play too

In OUA women’s hockey, the Nipissing Lakers open the season at home to Western Friday  at 4:30 pm at Memorial Gardens.

That’s followed by the Nipissing men’s home opener at 7:30 pm against Laurier.

Both teams play again Saturday with the women entertaining Windsor and the men hosting Waterloo.

Both Nipissing soccer teams take on Trent on Saturday and UOIT on Sunday at St Joseph-Scollard Hall.

The Nipissing lacrosse team is in Kingston this weekend playing Queen’s on Saturday and Sunday.

Only one game for the Powassan Voodoos this weekend. They’re in Espanola Saturday night.

Earlier this month, the Voodoos hung on for a 5-4 win over the Express at the NOJHL Showcase in Sudbury.
