ROTA YES

Yes Employment Services is receiving 215 Thousand Dollars in funding to help support youth employment.

MP Anthony Rota says the money is targeted at reducing the barriers for people looking for work.

He says there are people who need to get into the job market for the first time or to get back into it and this money for training will help.

YES CEO Gisele Cousineau says 15 people will see the benefit of the grant and 10 of the 15 will go into training right away in a variety of areas including carpentry, heavy equipment, office administration and customer service and they will eventually receive placement.

Meantime, Rota was asked about elbow gate and if he was surprised by what happened last Thursday with the Prime Minister and an NDP MP.

He says surprised is a bit of an understatement and he hopes all parties will learn from the experience.
