The North Bay Battalion win back to back games in overtime 2-1, this time the victory comes over the Niagara IceDogs at Memorial Gardens last night (Friday).

It was Zach Poirier who tied the game for North Bay in the third, and then got the game winner in overtime.

He touched the puck just before it crossed the line and was asked how much he actually touched the puck.

North Bay is now undefeated in six straight games at home.

Jake Smith made 19 saves on 20 shots in his second straight overtime victory.

Butler said they are expecting a big second half from Smith.

Butler says it’s another big win for his team ahead of the break.

Cam Dineen and Kyle Wood picked up a pair of assists each, helping Poirier on both his goals.

The Troops look to make it five straight victories overall when they play the Barrie Colts tonight at the Barrie Molson Centre.
