DNSSAB 2015 Annual Report Final

“Healthy Communities Without Poverty”.

That’s the vision of the District of Nipissing Social Services Administration Board which has just released their 2015 annual report.

The document is full of facts and figures.

They include 3,496 families and children being assisted through Ontario Works, 22,435 emergency calls answered by EMS/Paramedics and 1122 children receiving subsidized child care.

The intent of the report is to help the community better understand what they’re all about.

“I think we can be very pleased about the value of our services as well as the low cost of administration at approximately three-cents, and program delivery at approximately 12-cents of every dollar spent,” says DNSSAB Chief Administrative Officer, Joe Bradbury.

He says, “This indicates we are actively directing funds where it counts – to help the sick, the vulnerable and the poor.”
