A 35 year old North Bay man is facing several charges including forcible confinement, assault, uttering threats to cause death and assault with a weapon.

Police say around midnight, they received a complaint of an assault on Fourth Avenue East.

Police say a man was punched in the face while he was sleeping.

Police say the victim was confined to the residence under knife point and eventually escaped through a window.
