Snowmobile season is just around the corner.
That’s the word from North Bay Snowmobile Club President Shawn Flindall who says Mother Nature is helping them out.
“Above average snow depth, really good cold temperatures so all the clubs in the region have started packing trails, which is the first step, we need to get that snow packed so it freezes into a nice and solid base,” he says.
However, Flindall says they have a long way to go and don’t have a date set for the start of the season.
“If things go really, really well and things continue along with cold weather and lots of snow we would be looking at early January but at this point lakes have just skimmed over,” he says.
For now, he’s asking those who may be excited for the upcoming season to not take any unnecessary risks and wait for the green light.
