The Battalion are back in the win column after a 4-3 win over the Oshawa Generals last night (Thursday) at Memorial Gardens.
 
The win snaps a three game losing streak for the Troops.North Bay trailed 2-1 going into the third, but had a three goal outburst in the final 20 minutes to get the win.

Steve Harland and Brett McKenzie (Pictured) combined their efforts to get the Battalion a hard fought 4-3 win.

McKenzie tied the game for the Battalion in the 1st with an assists from Harland.

In the third period, Harland’s goal gave the Battalion a 3-2 lead while McKenzie’s second of the game gave the home side some insurance.

Harland says this was a confidence booster for him personally.

Between the pipes Jake Smith made 13 saves on 16 chances.

The win gives the Troops a two point cushion for 7th place in the Eastern Conference, as they entered the game tied with the Generals in the standings.

Butler says they will have to have a better effort on Sunday against the London Knights.

Sunday’s game will also include a Teddy Bear toss at Memorial Gardens.
