Canada’s first spaceship commander Colonel Chris Hadfield is returning to North Bay.

He will be here on February 21st to perform at the Capitol Centre as part of his Canada 151 tour.

He says the event will feature stories, songs and ideas about the country’s present and future.

“I’m really looking forward to it. Each one of the evenings right across the country for me is a highlight, a chance to talk about my experiences. But also what we’re doing and where we should be going next.”

He says he wanted to do something that presented ideas as entertainment.

“When someone’s up on stage with imagery and music what you’re really talking about is original thought. That’s the fun part and that was my genesis in doing it.”

Some of the songs Hadfield will perform include In Canada and Beyond the Terra.

Check out the Capiol Centre’s web site at capitolcentre.org for details on tickets.
