relay for life

For the 16th straight year North Bay’s Relay For life event, put on by the Canadian Cancer Society and 22 Wing, will be held at CFB North Bay.

Deb Marson with the local branch of the Canadian Cancer Society says they’re ready to go with 350 participants and 90 volunteers.

She says you can register right up to Friday evening.

Marson also says it promises to be an emotional evening with the luminary ceremony and the survivor lap being the big highlights for many.

She says there will be tears for those that are gone, but some fulfillment too, as people have beaten cancer and continue the fight.

Again this year it’s a 6 hour event and it starts at 6 pm.

The highlight for many will be the luminary ceremony.
